Located at 36–44 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Chungking Mansions is well known among budget travelers and backpackers. This 17-storey building is divided into 5 blocks (A, B, C, D and E) and comprises over 50 hostels and guest houses. The building is also well known as one of the best places for currency exchange. The foreign exchange offices are situated just a few steps away from the entrance.
Rooms. What to expect. Compare to hostels or guest houses of other countries, the rooms in Chungking Mansions are tiny, but clean (in most cases) with one or two, rare three beds. Each room comes with all the basic amenities, such as LCD TV, air conditioning (in most rooms), free wi-fi internet access (in most rooms), toilet/shower (may be shared bathroom).
Having a convenient location right in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, Chungking Mansions provides easy access to all major transportation links of the city, including buses, MTR and ferries. The Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station Exit E is right across the road.
Airport Transfer. Visitors of the city can easily get there via airport bus. The bus stop (Ground Transportation Centre) is located outside the Arrival Hall on the right side. Follow the direction signs. Take the Citybus A21 and get off at stop #14 (Middle Road, Nathan Road). See the map below.
