A Unique Disney Experience
Hong Kong Disneyland is one of Hong Kong's most popular attractions. It originally opened in 2005, and is estimated to host 40,000 visitors a day. Each of the areas has unique shopping and dining opportunities. Main Street, U.S.A. is one of the most popular areas. The Main Street, U.S.A. section is designed to resemble the American version of this popular site. The street is designed to resemble an American street from the early 20th century. You can ride in old cars or a train, as well as browse through the shops. There are several restaurants in this section of the park. Disney characters are seen in the street, and entertainment includes parades by day and fireworks by night.
Fantasyland is one of the most popular parts of Hong Kong Disneyland, and features many of the settings and characters from top Disney movies. The castle, which is accessed by a boat ride, is one of the most popular attractions. Visitors can meet Sleeping Beauty there. Several rides based on popular Disney movies are found in the area, as well as a beautiful carousel. One of the most popular rides features Dumbo. Live stage shows feature songs from the movies, and scenes from favorite films are shown in 3-D. The garden areas host costumed characters, and guests may be lucky enough to get autographs.
Visitors to Hong Kong Disneyland also find Adventureland to be quite exciting, especially those traveling with kids. It features many attractions with a jungle theme. Visitors get to take a fun boat ride through a jungle with a variety of exotic plants and animals. A replica of Tarzan's treehouse is found here, located on its own island. Visitors can climb up to the top of it and enjoy the view of the park. An exciting live musical is offered in this section, with costumed characters from The Lion King and featuring its popular songs.
Another popular part of Hong Kong Disneyland is Tomorrowland. The attractions in this section have a focus on the future and space exploration. The rides are all very distinctively futuristic, and are very exciting for all ages. One attraction that features Buzz Lightyear from the Toy Story movies allows guests to battle with aliens, and another features the alien Stitch from The Adventures of Lilo and Stitch. An indoor roller coaster provides guests with the unique experience of riding in the dark. Expansions are constantly being made to provide visitors with even more unique attractions.
