Public transport in Hong Kong is able to satisfy all the needs of tourists. The land transport comprises MTR (Mass Transit Railway), taxis, buses, minibuses and tramways (only on Hong Kong Island). Also, there are ferries between Kowloon and Hong Kong Island, and to outlying islands. For those who planned to stay in Hong Kong for a few days, it's highly recommended to buy Octopus Card. It's used to pay rides on almost all kinds of public transport. Many areas of Kowloon, HK Island and the New Territories can be easily reached by the MTR, but a few attractions can be reached only on buses or taxis, such as Ocean Park, Repulse Bay, Stanley Market or Aberdeen.

Octopus system is really comfortable. Octopus Card is a prepaid smart card which is devoted as a payment on public transport.
