Opened on 1 October 2007, Elements is the major shopping mall of MTR Corporation. It is located right above the Kowloon MTR station, which makes it an easy destination for both locals and visitors of the city. The shopping mall offers over one million square feet of space and is divided into 5 zones (five Chinese elements): fire, water, earth, wood and metal. Each zone is decorated with its own style and has its own art piece.
The Metal Zone is located in the south-west and west parts, and features luxury brands, such as Bulgari, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Cartier, Burberry, D & G, Prada, It is decorated with fine copper and steel. Also, it houses a number of fine restaurants.
The Wood Zone is located in the north-east part, and features health and beauty shops represented by famous cosmetic brands. Also, it houses ThreeSixty, Hong Kong's largest organic & natural foods store. The zone is decorated with timber, hardwood and oriental plants.
Located in the north-west part, the Water Zone offers a range of international cuisines, and features a number of fashion shops, such as Zara, H&M, M.A.C.
The Fire Zone is an area in the south-east part of the shopping mall, which comprises a number of entertainment facilities, including the Grand Cinema and The Rink. The Grand Cinema is the largest cinema complex in Hong Kong, which comprises 12 world-class theaters, with a capacity around 1600 seats. The ice rink is the first "open rink", which uses the "pay as you skate" concept. There are no needs in tickets, skaters enter the rink using their Octopus. Also, there are a number of shops selling sportswear and sports accessories.
And the last is the Earth Zone. It is located in the heart of the mall, and features world fashion shops, such as Alfred Dunhill, Diesel, Hugo Boss, Montblanc, Pandora. Also, there are two popular electronic shops: Fortress and Broadway.
