Located in Mong Kok just a few minutes on foot from the Prince Edward MTR station, the Flower Market is one of the most colorful places in Hong Kong. It is adjacent to the Yuen Po Street Bird Garden and is a few minutes away from the Goldfish Market. Also, Royal Plaza Hotel is right across the road.
The market occupies several streets: Flower Market road and adjacent to it parts of Prince Edward road West, Sai Yee and Yuen Po streets.
It comprises a large number of shops that offer a plethora of exotic blossoms, houseplants, a wide variety of fresh flowers (roses, tulips, orchids, chrysanthemums, lilies, etc) and garden supplies (equipment, accessories, seeds, etc).
Most shops are generally open from 7:00am till 7:00pm. But because each flower shop is independent, the opening hours are up to the owner. A good time to visit is in the morning (8-10am).
A few days before the Chinese New Year the shops are filled with kumquat and mini orange trees, which symbolize luck and good fortune.

Hints & Tips
- For many travelers the market itself isn't worth a visit, compared to the Ladies Market or Temple Street. But it's worth a try if you plan to visit it together with other themed markets nearby.
