Mong Kok is one of the favorite areas for bargain shopping, and the Ladies Market is the most popular street market in Hong Kong. You can buy there almost everything from clothing (T-shirts, women's clothing, jeans, hoodies, jackets, traditional Chinese clothes), souvenirs, bags and some leather goods to shoes, toys and fake watches.
If you like shopping, then the Ladies Market is a must-see attraction for you. It is located in the heart of Mong Kok on Tung Choi street and represents itself ~450 meters of street stalls between Argyle and Dundas streets. The market starts opening around midday and remains open until 11:00-11:30pm. Probably, the best time to visit is in the evening.
Most stalls sell more or less the same goods, but the prices vary from vendor to vendor. Therefore, walk around before making a purchase decision. Also, you may find a few stalls selling unique goods that you won't find at other stalls. Be prepared for aggressive sales tactics as the original asking prices are usually quite high. Try your bargaining skills. Don't be afraid to walk away if you think the price is still too high, try another vendor.
If you are planning your first visit to Hong Kong or have never been there, it is a good idea to spend at least one evening at the Ladies Market. It is an excellent place to spend a couple of hours and buy some souvenirs for your friends. In addition, there are two streets adjacent to Tung Choi street, Fa Yuen Street and Sai Yeung Choi Street South, selling sports and electronic goods.
